Spartan Chemical Sponsors “Community Spotlight” During University of Toledo Football Game

Spartan Chemical Company, a recognized leader in the formulation and manufacture of sustainable cleaning and sanitation solutions for the industrial and institutional market, sponsored FOCUS, a local charitable organization, in a community spotlight at a local football game.

Saturday, the University of Toledo football game featured a special in-game highlight, sponsored by Spartan Chemical, to honor and showcase the work of the Family Outreach Community United Services (FOCUS) in Northwest Ohio.

FOCUS is a community based agency that provides aid to families in need. Last year, FOCUS housed 553 people; 64% were children. The organization focuses on sustainable change for these families, improving their lives through a stable home, employment, and school. Upon 6 months of FOCUS subsidy ending, 96.5% of exited participants remain stably (independently) housed.

"FOCUS is honored to have Spartan Chemical sponsor this opportunity," said Jim Karasek, FOCUS Executive Director. "It is so valuable for us to have exposure to the large audience that will view this game at the stadium or in their home, enabling us to expand our network and help more families."

In addition to the special in-game showcase, fans had the chance to engage representatives from FOCUS prior to the game at Fan Fest to learn more about how they can get involved and support the organization.
