Bed bug outbreaks continue to be a problem for industrial and institutional facilities. In fact, they are on the rise according to a survey conducted by the National Pest Management Association (NPMA) and the University of Kentucky. Polling 7,000 pest management professionals, NPMA found that 58 percent of nursing homes had been treated for bed bugs vs. 46 percent in the 2013 survey; 45 percent vs. 36 percent of offices; and 43 percent vs. 41 percent of schools and daycare centers.

Bed bug infestations can be costly for a facility when considering the impact on revenues associated with repeat business or vacancies. According to Lee Resources, 91% of unhappy customers will not willingly do business with you again if encountering a bed bug incident.
